Robot Series: 36 isometric pixel art robots for your game

We make our own games and kept running into the same problem: finding characters that move in all 8 isometric directions, share one look and have attacks you can actually read in gameplay. So we built a series of them, and now we are sharing it on itch.io.

The Robot Series is a family of sci-fi punk characters: gunmetal hulls, orange hazard trim, brass pipes and a single glowing eye. Friendly robots have a cyan eye, enemies a pink-red one, so players can tell sides at a glance.

Each pack has three characters with a theme, from a starter crew to a full horror level. Together they cover the cast of a whole game: heroes, enemies, support units, pets, bosses and even humans.

Every character has five animations (idle, movement, an attack or action, hit and death) in all 8 directions: 12,552 frames across the series. Movement is timed to the ground speed, so feet do not slide over your tiles, and every attack has a clear wind-up that players can read and react to.

Cells are 64 px (96 px for the Bio-Mechs, 128 px for the Bosses) with a true 2:1 isometric angle, light from the upper left, a 1 px outline and a ground shadow both baked in and as a separate sprite.

Each robot comes with an Aseprite source (one tag per animation and direction, sprite and shadow on separate layers, pivot slice and per-frame timings), sprite sheets with and without shadow, every frame as a PNG, a JSON file with timings and loop flags, GIF previews and a README with engine notes. Godot 4 and Unity import notes are included.

Every pack has one character free to download, with idle and movement in 8 directions, so you can test it in your engine before buying.
